Why Israel Firstfruits?

Empower Marketplace Leaders. Grow Businesses. Advance the Kingdom of God.

Our Vision

To directly impact 10% of Israeli society through marketplace leadership and entrepreneurship. To accomplish this, we must be instrumental in over 1,000 believer-owned businesses that:

Redeem

Have redemptive impact.

Employ
Employ 100,000+ people.
Generate

Generate yearly revenues of over 50B NIS ($15B).

Believers own fewer than 0.10% of businesses in Israel:

  • Only 3 out of 1000 Israelis is a believer
  • Only 1 out of 1000 local businesses is owned by a believer
  • Only 4 out of 10,000 Israelis working in industry work for a believer-owned company

The work must continue. For our community to become a major source of employment and economic blessing, we need to empower more marketplace leaders and grow more redemptive businesses.

The Reality

Believers in Israel want to be successful. They want to flourish and prosper in their businesses and professions. They also greatly desire to fulfill the calling that God has on their lives.

But starting a business is hard. Entrepreneurship in general is difficult. Developing a business in Israel is especially challenging.

There are many misconceptions about Israel. Even though it is known as the “start-up” nation and has an increasingly wealthy class, there is another reality.

Living in Israel is hard. Most Israelis – Jewish, Arab and other – work multiple jobs just to make ends meet. Those who wish to pursue their own businesses must overcome numerous hurdles – and usually with limited resources or support.

Israel is the Holy Land. It is also recognized as one of the only democracies in the Middle East. Yet believers in Israel face a difficult reality.

Being a believer in Israel is exceptionally hard. As a tiny minority representing only .25% of the population, they regularly encounter implicit and explicit discrimination and persecution.

As a result…

The typical believer feels stuck. They often struggle to make ends meet and provide for their family.

Many feel…

Disempowered. Discouraged. Like they are failing.

While stuck in survival mode, it is hard to think about calling or pursue purpose.

They want to overcome but they need support and guidance.
